Sewer & Drain Camera Inspection

See exactly what is going on, on camera.

On every main-line visit the camera look is included free. It is the heart of how we earn trust: documented, camera-verified, and graded, not guessed.

If the line is healthy, we will tell you. If it needs work, you will see why with your own eyes and decide when you are ready.

Instead of asking you to take our word for it, we put a camera in the line and show you. You see the condition of your sewer and drains for yourself, in real time.

A camera inspection takes the guesswork out of an old line. It is the answer to the question every homeowner is really asking: am I being upsold? You watch the footage with us, get the findings in writing, and leave knowing the true state of your pipes. For home buyers, a sewer scope before closing can save tens of thousands on a problem you never saw coming.

What a camera inspection actually tells you

A typical West Metro sewer runs 80 to 140 feet from the house to the city main. Most start as cast iron and switch to clay tile somewhere between 10 and 60 feet out, and many have a PVC repair spliced in. The camera shows where each change happens and what shape each section is in.

What recent inspections found:

  • A line close to failing in St. Louis Park's Birchwood neighborhood: roots at four spots in the first 20 feet, then a badly offset section, cracked in several places, at 27 feet and holding water. We marked the spots in the yard with a locator so the owner knows exactly where a repair would happen.
  • A buyer's scope in Minnetonka: a healthy 122-foot line with only slight back-pitch near the house. The home inspector was on site, and the report was turned around within a day for the purchase.
  • A routine check in Edina's Morningside area: 106.5 feet from the basement cleanout to the city main, with only two spots where an offset is just starting to form. Nothing that needs work now.
  • A second opinion: another company couldn't get a clear picture. We cut out the old cleanout cap to camera from the stack, found a knot of roots at 77 feet right where PVC meets clay, and laid out cleaning and lining options.
  • A preventive check in Plymouth: 96.5 feet of cast iron in good shape. That's a good answer too, and we say so.

You get the video, a written report with distances ("roots at 21, 31, and 50 feet"), and a plain recommendation: a yearly camera check for root-prone lines, jetting when roots or scale build up, and lining when the pipe itself is failing. A standalone inspection is $249.
