Across the Twin Cities, a basic drain cleaning from a reputable company generally runs somewhere in the rough range of $150–$700 depending on the fixture and access. A main sewer line cleaning commonly lands around $300–$700. If you're being quoted far below those numbers in an ad, be skeptical. That’s either a service call teaser that’ll be accompanied by fees and “upsells” or it’s ‘chuck-in-a-truck’ whose may not be properly registered and insured, putting liability on you if something goes catastrophically wrong.

What drives the price

A fair quote depends on real factors, not on how worried you seem:
